Oak got a new, affordable shipment of shades in, and these ones from Xray are a personal favorite. 100% UV protection frames with the “X” branding and a wire rim. This color lens is perfect when you have to drive in overcast weather, and we hope you have a road trip coming up so you can test them out for yourself. [$48 at oak]

Sucker for tortoiseshell? Illesteva’s S/S 2010 version are inspired by 1950s Havana, and that translucent frame will let just the right amount of light seep through to shine. These more oval retro shades are handmade in Italy and are crafted from high-quality materials. There’s also a yellow translucent pair with the same great quality and shape. Unsurprisingly, I envision these with a linen suit and a cigar. [via hypebeast]

We’ve raved about the Spitfire Sunglasses on a couple of occasions, and with Oak adding the Clip in brown, we felt the need to revisit. These light brown frame glasses have clip-on shades and are extremely affordable. The one-size, unisex eyewear is funky, creative, and casual. These are an excellent pairing with denim, thanks to the tinted lenses + brown frames. [$46 at oak]

Hypebeast made a great find when they were browsing Oakley: Flora Fade shades are the spring treat of the sunglasses world, with a vibrant colorway of citrus and green. Paired with casual items with a slight ’80s edge, they will really stand out. The Flora Fades were made in limited numbers and are currently available at Oakley, so move fast. Ruby iridium lenses and logo on side. There will be two other colorways coming up, and if they’re half as good as these, we’re in for a pleasant surprise. [via hypebeast]

These aviators from DSQUARED2 are pretty sharp in shape. With an elongated frame in either brown or dark blue, these glasses are great for a collection or just hot months ahead. They feature several nice design touches, like a raised double bar bridge, and a logo engraving at both the earpiece tips and temples. Fairly timeless, and $395 for either color. Made in Italy. There are a variety of new Super Flat Top Sunglasses currently available at Ssense, and in a bunch of different colors and slightly tweaked styles. The Ciccio Flat and the Flat Top Yellow are the boldest of options, but they also have a plain black and a dark brown tortoiseshell pair as well. These will probably replace your Wayfarers for a while, later remaining a shade in the top rotation of your collection. [from $139 at ssense]

SUPER’s done it again– but are you really surprised? These are great summer sunglasses, and we’d expect nothing less from one of Milan’s top eyewear companies. The Lucia style, shown, has vintage appeal in the bag with the half-frame shades available in several arresting frame and lens colors. High-quality Zeiss lenses will work from beachside to streetside, and for years. There’s nothing better than a pair of Italian shades. [via selectism]

Kaneko, a Japanese optical co., has some great looks for sunglasses lovers and spectacles wearers alike for S/S 2010. The Dweller glasses look like something we might spy on My Parents Were Awesome, but updated for comfort and modern clothes. Black and tortoiseshell-style acetate frames are both excellent options. Made in Japan, these are now being delivered (delivery started Feb. 20th). Are they frames you’d consider picking up? [via high snobiety]
