Remember when the Origins of Lights sunglasses were sold out all over, and I managed to finally hunt them down? Now Oki-Ni has the Chronicles of Never sunglasses in the tortoiseshell frames that were pretty hard to locate before, plus an excellent pair of boots from Boris Bidjan to add to the mix. Neither are cheap, but both I covet immensely. Quality is king; you’ll have to be ready to pay for it.

These are some curious shades, aren’t they? Chronicles of Never’s round-frame sunglasses have a unique frame design that makes them seem as if they’ve been cut out from cardboard and painted black. Flat and with an unusual rectangular effect at the temples, these sunglasses will create a bespectacled, bookish look… even though yours are tinted and you’ll be in the sun, not in the library. Depending on the face and the setting, these could be really cool or really ugly.

Warby Parker’s 14 new styles are now available. As someone who used to wear glasses until the magic of Lasik, I can give my seal of approval on these. Warby’s frames have teflon-coated screws and five-barrel hinges, so they’re not just about looks. Our favorites include tortoiseshell frames and the cost–$95 for lens and frames! A very nice price. Ray-Ban and Brooks Brothers have now released their sunglasses collaboration, Ray-Ban for Brooks Brothers. The collection for men is represented by two styles, the Wayfarer and the aviator, both with the BB#1 repp stripe on the arms. The repp stripe made so famous by Ray-Ban was actually based on British club ties and regimental gear, but was reversed in the ’20s for an American spin. A little bit of Americana favored by the Ivy League types is back! If you do like that special repp stripe, you’ll probably dig the Wayfarers, since the thicker arms allow a lot more of the stripe to show than those of the aviators.

A simple shape but a killer campaign catapults CDXIII sunglasses to the top of the class. The Factory 413/Fairfax style is available in gloss black and matte black (which looks really good in the light), with a squared-off shape, and they are available only at Factory 413′s website. Just another nicely-shaped pair of face-friendly shades to round out this company’s collection. [via highsnobiety]

SUPER for Barneys sunglasses celebrate a milestone anniversary–25th! Barneys reached out to past collaborators to make some truly excellent products. Handmade in Italy, these sunglasses are made in a 100-piece batch and cost 180 Euros (not bad for a collector’s item). What’s that on the frames? It’s bound leather wrapping the Zeiss lenses. Wish x Shwood sunglasses are only available in a limited run of 50, so if these grab you, you’ve got to grab them. This Wish and Shwood collaboration takes the expected wooden frame and leaves it shellacked in the popular Govy style. The best part? Each of these pairs of sunglasses is numbered, which appears on the inner frame along with the logo. [via hypebeast]

Sunglasses in pink and green will appeal to the man who’s not afraid of a burst of color. Two saturated shades collide on these limited-edition sunglasses that you’ll have to hide from the unisex-clothes craving girlfriend. This year’s collab delivers a refined iridium lens in black to offset all that color. Last year’s Frogskins were military green and substantially more subdued. Any guess on next year’s?
