An updated and slightly more powerful Porsche 911 GT3 just hit the floor at the New York Auto Show. All covered with a daring red paint, the racer is powered by a naturally aspirated 3.8L mated to a six speed transmission and a stiffened suspension. Capable of outputting some good 435 hp and 317 lb-ft of torque, the new 911 GT3 sprints from 0 to 60mph in 4 seconds and achieves a max speed of 194 mph. With an elegant, yet sporty leather interior and a highly aggressive body frame, that’s one hell of a ride we’d love to take on. Only if we could afford the $112,200 price … [via Jalopnik]

Coming just ahead of the New York Auto Show, the first glimpse of the Nissan 2009 NISMO 370Z is here with stunning bodywork that concentrates largely on aerodynamics. Powered by a 3.7-liter DOHC V6 engine, the NISMO 370 Z unleashes 350 hp at 7,500 rpm and comes with an array of suspension and brake updates to match the new power output. Sporting a larger rear wing, a new bumper, an aggressive front splitter and standard 19-inch RAYS ultra-lightweight wheels, the 370Z pushes the standard for import sportscars from the East. While the price is yet to be revealed, expect this to hit showrooms by June this year. [via Jalopnik]

The UgurSahinDesign Mallett Z03 is the ultimate creation for those with a passion for custom Corvettes. The exterior of the latest super Corvette includes new headlights and a clear paneled hood, plus some aerodynamic bodywork that allows for increased engine cooling and better downforce. At least that’s what $69,000 gets you. However, if you prove generous and toss in an additional $32,700, you’d be able to power the Z03 with a supercharged LS7 V8 engine producing 700 hp. Toss in another $35,795 for the best of the beast— the 999-hp, twin-turbo version. Expect more on this baby at the New York Auto Show coming this weekend… [via Jalopnik]

Mercedes-Benz has just announced their new range-topping E-class prior to the New York Auto Show— the E63 AMG. A striking visual presence, the E63 AMG is actually a beast on wheels with a naturally aspirated 6.2 V8 engine that outputs 518 bhp and 465 lb-ft of torque, tops at 155mph and takes you 0 to 60mph in just 4.4 seconds. Gaining a Speedshift MCT seven-speed sport transmission with a wet start-up clutch and a number of other efficiency-enhancing measures, the car is now guzzling on 12% less fuel for a good 22.4 mpg. As for the unique exterior, it’s being dominated by those 17-millimeter wider fenders bearing the “6.3 AMG” lettering, the large air intakes and the AMG-specific daytime driving lights with LED technology. On sale in September, this is one hot ride we won’t have to wait too long for. [via Jalopnik]
