With speed and high performance technology coursing through its veins, the newest Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SuperVeloce is the fastest, lightest and most powerful model the company has ever made. Exceptionally “purist”, the supercar is powered by a 6.5L V12 engine that outputs 670 hp and some 487 lb-ft of torque. With a little tweaking to the air intake system and after optimizing the engine’s valve timing, the new SuperVeloce achieves a max speed of 212 mph, does 0 to 62 mph in a breathtaking 3.2 seconds. With an upholstered Alcantra leather interior and a brutal exterior that defines aggresiveness in a modern fashion, we’d love to take this beast for a spin. [via WCF]

Lamborghini Insecta, Extreme Race-oriented Concept

Following the traditional geometrical styling cues of a Lambo with elements inspired by the world of insects, Romanian designer Iulian Bumbu came up with an exquisite 2-seater, or “extreme race-oriented supercar”. Dubbed Lamborghini Insecta (who would have thought?), this fresh concept has an armor-like form with angular yet sweeping lines. Borrowing much from the Gallardo, Insecta features a pair of deep bucket seats, a U-shaped sports steering wheel and a stylish high center console that divides the passenger compartment. Kudos to Iulian for trying to get closer to perfection. Anyone from Lambo looking at these pics? [via CarBodyDesign]

Dacia Duster, Futuristic Low-cost Crossover

dacia duster concept 1 Dacia Duster, Futuristic Low cost Crossover

Editor’s NoteThe Geneva Motor Show is in full swing, so over the next few days we’ll be covering the best of the event here on StyleCrave.  Stay tuned!

While Dacia is normally a prime player in the low cost sector, they’ve made some moves to be taken more seriously as a quality brand. That let the brand to get a little bold– and release the first concept car in the company’s history. Meant as a design study, the Dacia Duster is a versatile crossover that mixes an athletic stance with a futuristic design. A departure from Dacia’s norm, Duster is definitely an eye catcher with its all-glass roof, rear-hinged back doors and ridiculously large 21-inch wheels. Powered by a 1.5L dCi diesel engine from Renault that outputs 105 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque, it goes naught to 62 mph in 9.6 seconds and has a 44.4 mpg fuel efficiency (5.3 litres per 100km).  Those numbers are certain to please the green-conscious more so than the performance-minded.  Let’s hope thist “robot” makes it to production lines with an affordable price, because we’re loving where Dacia is going with this one. Although it hasn’t been officially unveiled, the new Opel Ampera is not a secret anymore. Over the weekend, Opel leaked images of the hybrid vehicle made it to the Internet. Running on GM’s Voltec plug-in hybrid system and offering a 60 km range running solely on those 16 kWh batteries, the European version of the Chevy Volt packs an internal combustion engine and extends to 500km. With eye-catching futuristic shapes that makes us wonder why there isn’t a Chevy Ampera for the States, we’ll be able to adore it tomorrow when the Auto Show in Geva kicks in.  Seriously, why are we stateside car lovers stuck with the visually boring Volt when our Euro friends get that sexy beast above? In time for Geneva, Stuttgart-based Gemballa decided it’s time to update their super-aggressive Mirage Carrera GT with this Carbon Edition. Although not yet a production version, the race-looking Mirage has been put on a serious diet through extensive use of carbon fiber parts and ceramic brakes. More than just a tuning exercise, the car is now powered by a powerful 670 horsepower engine that reaches a maximum of 208 mph (335 km/h), goes 0 to 60 in 3.7 seconds and breaks 200km/h in less than 9.7 seconds. Definitely sold on the futuristic design and the two-tone Pearl White and Black paint, we’d love to get behind the wheel for a shot of pure adrenaline. [via Autoblog]

Editor’s NoteFor more news and highlights, check out our full coverage of the Geneva Motor Show!

Conceived to celebrate 30 years of design experience, the futuristic ERA concept started as an exercise to prove that the group from I.DE.A Institute can build a “supercar” in just 30 days. They weren’t wrong, as they achieved this quickly and the result turned out to be amazing. However, for this year’s Auto Show in Geneva that starts next week, Turin-based engineers decided an update is appropriate. The  open top roadster is now being revamped with a set of gull-wing doors, a stylish two-tier trunk, a tube-frame chassis and meaner lines. Although we know it may never make it to production lines, we can only imagine the amazing experience of making this tiger roar. [via Autoblog]

tramontana r 1 Tramontana R, From Rocket on Wheels?

“Half formula 1″ and “half fighter”, Tramontana R is an ultra-exclusive carbon-fiber supercar that definitely turns heads. While its appearance may attract some and scare others, the one seater manages to impress with its speed and lightness. Running on a Mercedes twin-turbo 12-cylinder engine that allows switching from 550 to 760 horses, Taramontana R knows a bit about speed. It gets 0 to 60mph in a mere 3.6 seconds and while in “missle-mode” gets you to 200mph in ONLY 10.15 seconds. We’re definitely in for a test drive…  call us, Tramontana! [via Jalopnik]
