Whether you appreciate curves, courtesy of famed auto designer Carrozzeria Scaglietti, or the impressive series of race wins it snagged from 1958 to 1961, the Ferrari 250 TR is a thing of beauty. As an ultra high-end collectors gem, the rare sale appearance of a 1957 model with period-correct paint is expected to fetch record bids in May, at RM Auction‘s Ferrari sale to be held in Maranello, Italy. In a press release, the auction house said the Ferrari’s ticket could exceed the $21.7 million ponied up for the 250 GTO last year. [via autoblog]

If your vintage car collection lacks a classic Ferrari,we know the perfect place to pick one up. Or two! Gstaad, Switzerland will host an historical auction that will be held on December 20 at the Palace Hotel. Two amazing models, the 1955 121 LM Spyder by Scaglietti (raced by Phil Hill himself), and the 1951 Ferrari 212 Export Spyder by Carrozzeria Motto. These Ferraris will be offered to the extremely rich for prices starting from $2 to $3.3 million. Though they belong to the past, we’d sure love to spin them a little bit. Today, Ferrari went real with their latest F430 16M Scuderia Spider. Honoring the 16th constructors championship in Formula 1, this red beast will be powered by a 4.3-liter V8 that sports 510hp, will use the new super-efficient, dual-clutch 7-speed transmission and should feature a retractable hardtop roof. Sounds like the car of your dreams? Then you’d better be rich (and famous) because only 499 units will be available and we’re not sure we’ll get ours! That’s how you define exclusivity … right?
