Are you feeling the heat yet? Miami is in the mid-80s already, and I’m scooping up advice on dressing for hot weather wherever and whenever I can get it. This Seven Homme spread with model Stas Svetlichnyy, styled by Oka-Z, provides enough inspiration to keep you dipping back into your closet for new combinations, even if you’re not blessed with a walk-in that features Comme des Garçons and a lot of Barneys select pieces: lightweight jackets, cardigans, and double-breasted silhouettes. We can’t forget the cropped stuff and shorts, either, plus nautically-flavored shoes.

Do you worship at the altar of the Polo Shirt? Is the ubiquitous Polo Shirt ruler of your closet? If this answer is ‘yes’ to these questions then you might be interested in a recent Lands’ End survey of avid golfers from the Golf Digest database; over 80 percent of respondents said the polo shirt is the most versatile item in their closets and over 50 percent own more than 20 polo shirts.

Are you a commuter with a love of the open road? If you feel hard-pressed to find clothes that work for serious pedaling and the occasional splash, perhaps Levi’s will do the trick. At the turn of the month, the denim giant presented their new Commuter Cyling Series, which is a bike-friendly collection with the real commuter in mind. 3M reflective tape will keep you safe; a utility waistband works when you need something mid-ride; a high-cut back simply reduces binding and exposure (chilly spot, whoa!).

I admit I’m not always down with the floral print apparel. But that doesn’t mean my wardrobe can’t make room for one as sweet as the floral print design coming from Epaulet. The standard slim-fit shirt, made up in a nice printed UK cloth, shows off a likable tight pattern of floral, making it a shirt I can easily match with jeans or chinos.

Our usual Oak browsing resulted in a nice cheap-o pair of sunglasses for the man who wrecks everything. I have a couple pairs of sunglasses with sprung pins, but my problem is more with leaving glasses in my bag with my keys and all the extra stuff… and then finding my sunglasses have been scratched or damaged. If I pay $18 for a pair, though, I won’t mind as much. Oak has several cheap pairs on their “New Arrivals” page to suit lots of tastes–check out the “Castro,” also $18!

Nike’s All Court Canvas gives the classic court shoe an updated design spin with a modern, muted color scheme and chunkier side sole. The sneaker really looks nice as a low-key, heavy canvas version of the 1975 cross trainer. The shoes ($60) feature full canvas uppers with a leather Swoosh; the shoe delivers one contrast in the form of the white mid-sole and signature over-sized toecap, as well as white on the metal eyelets.
Hard not to see this latest edition of the Nike All Court Canvas becoming a big, big must-have; it’s nicely straightforward in its design and sets up perfectly as the go-to casual shoe for the spring and summer. I’m down with the low cut blue style, but other color options include grey/white and red/white. [via joesdaily]

Things were not looking good there for a second, but thankfully Mad Men has been renewed for three more seasons. And yet, Esquire thinks the swingin’ ’60s ‘Mad Men’ style is on its way out. What!? Oh, and Tom Ford was nice enough to breakdown how to be a modern gentleman. And we also have Anja Rubik in the news roundup. Oh, Anja. Check out all this and more!

These are some curious shades, aren’t they? Chronicles of Never’s round-frame sunglasses have a unique frame design that makes them seem as if they’ve been cut out from cardboard and painted black. Flat and with an unusual rectangular effect at the temples, these sunglasses will create a bespectacled, bookish look… even though yours are tinted and you’ll be in the sun, not in the library. Depending on the face and the setting, these could be really cool or really ugly.
