At first glance I was not loving the Pineapple Pants from Orvis. I’ve dabbled with sharks and lobsters on my pants, but no fruit to this point.
But it wasn’t long before I was envisioning myself in the pants, accompanied by a crisp, white t-shirt and flip-flops. At a beach bar somewhere, of course. Sure, you have an easy conversion starter with the pineapple-and-leaves print covering your lower half, but these pants are also built for maximum comfort.

Here’s another set of premium denim for the ogling, this time in a collaboration that’ll leave you hoping for a couple more collections of less limited-edition pieces (so you can stock up, naturally). Naked & Famous got together with Big John for a nice take on classic, stiff indigo without the distractions. Big John was the first premium denim brand in Japan and has been stocking closets for over 70 years. Want that tag as a collector’s piece, too!

Outlier explains that their well-designed pants are made for “rain, grit, and motion of real life,” and that seems believable enough if you take a peek at the cut and fabric used for these spring-perfect chinos. They’re planned for the long haul with key loops and a stash pocket, but they also have more hidden features like a cotton/elastane blend for ease of movement, with some nylon popped in there to help your chinos hold up.

A crew of designers from Brooklyn, NYC, have just revealed a new style of gear for cyclists only– the Osloh Pants. Targeted at fixed gear/urban cyclists, the fresh new Osloh Pants not only provide plenty of utility but a stylish look as well. Available in jeans and trouser varieties, both models inlcude a double-strap cinch on the right leg to prevent that nasty bike chain catch that riders fear. There’s also a padded crotch with a chamois, a tightened waistband, tabs above the rear pocket for a U-lock, a cellphone pocket on the side and a key pocket hidden within. More to it, the Osloh Pants come with a water resistant and anti bacterial coating that makes them odor-resistant. They’ll cost $100 to $130 depending on fabric. [via Likecool]

Need a little slim jean style to perk up your spring stuff? These tapered light jeans are encrusted (hence the somewhat scary sounding name) with gold pyramid stud embellishment at back and waist. Add a few paint smears, abrasions, and tears, and you’ll be a dirty boy every time you stretch these on to go out on the town. [$265 at ssense]

Tasty denim is hard to come by, but these jeans make things right again with a comfortably trim straight leg and a rather artistic wash. Distressing at the knees and leg openings make the Denim & Thread Frye Jeans look enviably worn (but without all the effort), and the tear along one knee looks totally accidental. 100% cotton with a slightly tapered straight leg; whiskering details along front pockets. Dirty jeans. . . while it might be easier to make these on your own, it’s hardly the same thing! These RAF by Raf Simons denims over at Bblessing combine texture and color in a cool grey wash complete with white (seemingly random, but probably not so much) designs. Slim fit without being ugly-skinny or overly low rise makes these a winner in our book. Available in sizes 30 and 31– and Bblessing sells out fast. [$500 at bblessing]
