One of the most solid names in the world of luxury sail yachts, the Australians from Oceanfast are ready to deliver their semi-custom 157-ft private vessels starting in July. A sleek sailor hungry for chopping up waves, the $22 million Oceanfast 48 is designed to fulfill the requirements of the most demanding owners. Giving away a couple of secret vessels certainly can’t be easy– but we’re surprised there’s not a huge bidding war for these babies. Apparently the US Navy has been trying to find a new home for its first experimental stealth ship – the Sea Shadow, and its top-secret fully submersible dry dock (the only one ever built) – the Hughes Mining Barge. And although staying off radar and fooling spy satellites sounds like a cool thing to do, for the last three years no one showed interest. Mainly because they’re too expensive to maintain. So is there anyone here who’d like to sunbath from the top of a “secret weapon”? The Navy wants to hear from you. [via WSJ]

Reinventing the idea of a mobile home, the creative folks from X-Architects in Dubai came up with a 220 sqm floating structure that adds uniqueness and style to the nautical lifestyle. Settled on two catamaran beams, the Houseboat is elegantly clad in stainless steel and glass and features two large decks. The upper deck has a kitchen, a living room and an informal dining area, while the lower deck has the bedrooms, a bathroom and the steering cabin. The world’s most elite sailing fraternity will be gathering at the highly-anticipated Superyacht Pavilion at the Dubai International Boat Show in March, and Feadship is promising a strong presence. Their latest of the sensational series of ‘Streams’ designs, the new C-Stream has been designed by Studio de Voogt and the result is more than appealing. Considered a floating recreational island with a Dock, we’re pretty sure only the filthy rich will afford to sunbath on a C-Stream. At the London Boat Show this weekend, Mochi Craft’s new lobster boat the Dolphin 54’ just won the “Best Yacht Over 50 Feet” title. Designed by Norberto Ferretti, it’s the sophisticated vintage style, the sweet sailing character and high performance design adds to the unique personality of such a fine Italian boat. Apart from its elegant exterior clad in wood, there’s much more to appreciate on the inside including detailed, comfortable furnishings. Anything fast, sleek and power-packed is sure an appealing prospect. But when it sails over the waves with style and speed, it becomes much more alluring. A concept design of Kardis, the sexy speedboat was built with plenty of space for two but we’re pretty sure a couple more, wouldn’t be a problem. Being a concept, the power and performance are still unknown, but one hopes that the grand design meets a powerful engine and it goes much beyond that drawing board. The designers behind Spyker Automotive, maker of the Spyker C8 Aileron also product a brilliant speedboat under its own moniker, Silvestris Auqamotive.  This aluminum-skinned five seater is the peak of luxury on the water, a 23-foot speedster lined with a luxurious leather interior, a cylindrical chrome instrument panel and auto-folding cabin covers.  In the hull, the Silvestri speedboat comes standard a Volvo Penta V8 pushing 320 horsepower for a top speed of 48 knots– or 55mph.  This sea slicer is among the best we’ve seen for luxury boating, an instant StyleCrave favorite.
