Oliver Spencer Shirt From MonocleBy Jeffrey Hyatt
Into Moncole we go, happily bypassing what are probably interesting articles on ‘innovative marketing in the Swiss Alps,’ ‘Moscow architecture’ and the ‘Montreux Jazz festival’ for the all-important Monocle Shop. Yet another fine collaboration with UK designer Oliver Spencer and Monocle has resulted in a stylish third shirt featuring a classic Oxford design with signature cuff and pocket detail.
Perfect under your favorite blazer, or just as is, the new shirt has been ‘built’ with top quality cotton, plus those trademark slim cuffs are a nice touch. It has also been given a hidden pocket by the waist. I see why it’s called a ‘travel shirt,’ because clearly this oxford can be tossed in a bag and taken on any journey, near or far.Available in light blue cross weave fabric or navy and white.
About $135, the limited edition shirt would make a fine addition to any wardrobe – a classic item of clothing that never goes out of style. They apparently only produced 60 of each shirt, so time is of the essence. The shirts are available from the Monocle stores in London and Los Angeles, plus online. Let’s hope the Monocle/Oliver Spencer collaboration continues. [via monocle]
