I’m fairly certain that my eyewear collection is going to get pretty unmanageable, but when you have a chance to buy Han Kjøbenhavn DOC Eyewear S/S 2011? Who cares. The new season’s sun specs are available in mega-dark tint, medium lenses, and clear as glass, so there’s no way that you can make excuses about DOC not having the right pair for you–unless you’re a fan of ambers or not a fan of bookish round frames, of course. Then again, why not take this opportunity as one to expand what’s currently filling our your eyewear collection? My seasonal jump was blue, octagonal, and vintage. Eep.
An addition to Han’s frame collection, the “Blueprint” in Black and Tortoise frames makes for a nice study in Danish eyewear design. The glasses are impeccably developed, check; they are designed with a sparing principle in mind, check; they still have some quirks, check. There are already plenty of adopters, too, since a quick glance at Han Kjøbenhavn’s sale page shows that two out of the four options are sold out: tortoise frames with clear lenses, and tortoiseshell frames with tinted sun lenses. Black in both sun and clear are still available and will run you about USD187.50.[via selectism]
