Anja Rubik For Viva ModaBy Jeffrey Hyatt
As we say goodbye to another week, we say hello to the lovely and beautiful Anja Rubik. It’s been almost exactly a year since we last featured Rubik in a memorable, sun-kissed collection of photos by Carter Smith. Today’s stunning photographs come to us from the photographer Victor Demcarchelier, who shot Rubik for Viva! Moda.
The Polish-born Rubik looks amazing in black and white, posing in a variety of slinky black outfits. It’s all very dark and seductive – the perfect start to the weekend.
Next up for the busy model is shooting Karl Lagerfeld’s Fendi campaign. (Lagerfeld recently joined with ex-editor of Vogue Paris, Carine Roitfeld to create the Chanel autumn/winter 2011 campaign.)
Rubik also appears on the cover of Vogue Australia, which should be perused immediately. The Rubik story goes that she started modeling at 16, but it was only when photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin booked her for a Chloe campaign in 2005 that her star really stared to rise.
She hit the big time when Steven Meisel photographed her for Dolce & Gabbana.
