Falling into the “form over function” category is Alessi’s Daytimer series of watches. Designed by architects Will Alsop and Federico Grazzini, the watch features an OLED screen that tells time decently and plainly enough, but the main attraction here is the watch’s polygonal frame. Like a late 1990s video game, the polyurethane case culminates in an off-angle border for the OLED display. When hitting a button on the side, one of nine graphics appears, based on the time of day. The Daytimer watches come in four colors — purple, green, orange and black — and cost $150 each. [Emmo Home via Technobob]
