Based on Jean-Eugene Robert Houdin’s bizzare clocks from the 19th century, the new Mysterieuse Calibre LV115 watch not only defies the laws of physics with its floating movement and suspended hour and minute indicators, but also defies our wallets a bit with its staggering $265,000 price tag.

An opulent design in gold and steel, the new Louis Vuitton Tambour Mysterieuse is completely mechanical, features two transparent sapphire disks, 115 hand-mounted parts and has an 8 days power reserve. Developed and assembled entirely in Switzerland, the near-transparent wonder is slated to adore any wrist it gets on.
