Hennessy z700

The zR1, in itself a beefed-up supercar version of the Chevy Corvette, has gotten some significant upgrades. Hennessy Performance Engineering has introduced the Z700 for 2010. Taking the ZR1 from 638 to 705 dyno-tuned hp, Hennessy also recognizes that increased power is a mere component of the overall speed equation; the ZR1 trims weight with carbon fiber seats and wheels and adds 300 pounds of downforce with carbon fiber front splitter, canards and rear spoiler. To give owners a tactile reminder of their superiority over “regular” ZR1 owners, Alcantara steering wheel and shift knob round off the package.  Hennessy will be taking the car to Germany to challenge the ZR1′s 7:26 Nürburgring lap time head-on. Hopefully those precious seconds will be worth the near-six-figure price boost, up to $207, 150. [via Auto Blog]
