Land Rover LRX Hybrid Coming Soon

The next Range Rove’ rollin’ through your hood on twenty fo’s may be the latest in the surge of green vehicles that has been hitting streets and highways across the world. According to the U.K’s Auto Express, Land Rover is going full steam ahead with a compact hybrid LRX. The slimmed-down Range Rover will incorporate a hybrid system borrowed from sister company Jaguar. It’s also expected to get Land Rover’s electric rear axle system, which provides enhanced traction to plow through whatever’s under the wheels. Unfortunately for all you druelers, the LRX is predicted to be at least two years from production. [via Autoblog]
