2009 Gullwing-America 300SL Panamerica 2

A classic shape that blends with contemporary technology and materials, the new 300SL Panamerica from Gullwing-America introduces itself as the “true rebirth of the legendary [Mercedes] 300SL Gullwing”. Designed by Arturo Alonso and his team, the 2009 300SL uses a powder coated RHS steel reinforced chassis, has no bumpers, but adds side mufflers and a new grille to further add to its retro agressiveness. Performance wise, under the hood there’s a 5.5 liter Mercedes M-133-55 engine that outputs 370 hp and a huge 530 Nm of torque. Paired with either a six-speed manual or a seven-ratio Speedtronic automatic transmission, this low ride runs on a independent suspension to keep things together, and does its best to steal the attention with a set of stylish 17-inch AMG wheels.
