Badass Corvette ZR1-based Bertone Mantide

Unveiled at the Shanghai Motor Show, the latest project from famed Italian design house Stile Bertone is a one-off Vette-based coupe that takes inspiration from the aerospace industry and the F1 field. Created to showcase the company’s design talent, Bertone Mantide borrows a 638-horsepower engine from the amazing ZR1 and adds a lightweight carbon fiber body with a daring hood and a set of fender flares. The Mantide is a futuristic design exercise that exudes power from every little angle, yet Bertone has no intention for the supercar to make production.  That aside, no one can keep us from dreaming to drive this one some day… [via Jalopnik]
