1982 Seiko Fieldmaster Contra Watch 1

Contra was the group of US-funded Nicaraguan rebels of the 80s that kept socialist Russia at bay in the country, and this 1982 Seiko Fieldmaster was the watch they wore during the revolution. A fine multi-tasking watch built from a unique design, the military timepiece is now associated with the struggle of the Contras.  Featuring  a standard compass case that can be removed and replaced with either the alarm or the map guide, it’s been crafted out of titanium, is waterproof to 10ATM, is anti-magnetic and shock-proof. For $845 that’s a tough watch to wear on your wrist… [via Selectism]
