Lightning Hybrids LH4

Making its debut at the Denver Auto Show, the Lightning Hybrids LH4 is a new biodiesel hybrid concept that was pieced together just in time for the show. The 4-door sedan is powered by  a 3-cylinder biodiesel engine paired with a hydraulic-pump motor. Its designed to get a solid 100 miles per gallon and will be competing for the $10M Automotive X Prize. Word is that the vehicle will be available in 2011 with a sticker price between $39 and $59K.   Besides the obvious advantages of a 100MPG hybrid, the LH4 looks pretty sweet too–the hood and front end of the vehicle emanate subtle hints of a Mazda Miata and Corvette Stingray.
