We all know a war with the machines is inevitable. If cinema and literature serve as any guide, at some point, the mechanoids will rise up. The Leatherman Freestyle Tool will be our savior for three reasons. First, the minimal multi-tool has what you need to dismantle any sentient mechanical threat: Pliers and a combo-screwdriver. Second, the sleek and lightweight 5 oz. Freestyle has a sturdy, sharp stainless steel blade. If the battle goes as planned, the blade can be used to slash neural network wiring, pierce CPU heatsinks and buck shielding from satellite uplink cabling. If the war isn’t going well, it can be used to hone makeshift spears or carve the dramatic human story into smoldering tree trunks. Lastly, the Freestyle Tool has a bottle opener, a critical tool that will find use at War’s end — no matter the outcome. [$63 at bhphotovideo]

These two new Nike Tier Zero kicks, coming out next month, have captured our interest with their rather sleek ways. Instead of plain ol’ white or a (now typical) patent leather, we get two different grid patterns and a great hybrid sole. Made with an ultralight upper, they’re suited for sport or just for bouncing, and what’s more is you can pick up the Grid Pack including both the Air Max 90 CT TZ and the Air Max 90 Flywire TZ at Nort Berlin. Buying a set saves you valuable decision-making time– April 17th, here we come! [via highsnobiety]

For many of us, a fixed gear bicycle is nothing unless it packs something unique. That’s probably what inspired Paris-based designer Jacques Ferrand when he developed his latest creation. An amazing work of leather art and craftsmanship, here’s a spectacular bicycle that sets the practical aside. All covered with a thin layer of leather (even in those tight spots) with absolutely no chrome, Jaques’ two-wheeler is as stylish as they come– and we’d certainly love to take it for a ride in town.
