15 Incredible Brazilian Models You’ve Probably Never Heard Of

You know who loves Brazilian models?  Stylecrave does.  You know who else does?  Everybody.  Some of the highest paid and most lusted after models working today hail from Brazil, a country that values beauty so much it boasts more Avon ladies than there are members of its armed forces.  I know that last fact to be true, because I read it on the internet.  The internet never lies.

Anyway, for every Gisele Bundchen and Adriana Lima working today, there are dozens of equally smoking hot Brazilian natives waiting for them to develop even one age spot so they can knock them off their supermodel throne.  So who will be the next Brazilian supermodel?  Probably one of these ladies.

Marcelle Bittar

This Brazilian beauty of Lebanese descent joined Elite Model Management at the tender age of 14.  Don’t worry that was years ago.  She’s perfectly legal these days.  Her real name is Marcelle Bittar de Almeida, but for professional purposes, she drops the de Almeida, apparently unaware that she shares a last name with one of the most kick ass characters ever from the television show 24.

Leticia Birkheuer was discovered while playing volleyball in southern Brazil.  Remind me to check out a few volleyball games if I’m ever in that area.  Until recently, Leticia lived in NYC, but has since moved back to Brazil to star in a soap opera.  I would totally watch that shit.

Despite having the red hair and freckles of a person you would expect to burst into flames if placed in direct sunlight, Cintia Dicker soldiers on as a model nevertheless.  And I sincerely thank her for that.  The not so traditional Brazilian looks can be attributed to her being of German descent.  Having worked with the likes of L’Oréal Paris, Gucci and Dolce & Gabbana, Cintia is truly on the cusp of supermodel status.

I have good news and bad news about Camila Finn.  The good news is that looking at the above picture is not illegal.  The bad news is that what you do while looking at it may very well be.  Camila was discovered at the age of 11 and won’t crack that magic 18 year old barrier until November 6, 2009.  Let the countdown begin!

Unlike Camila Finn, Caroline Francischini has to common courtesy to be over 18 years old (barely).  Since winning the Riachuelo Mega Model contest in 2002, her career has taken off.  In recent years she has worked with major names like Cartier, Calvin Klein and Vera Wang.

Ok, so technically, she isn’t a model quite yet.  But Natália Guimarães was first runner up in the 2007 Miss Universe Pageant.  A poll conducted amongst fans the following day revealed what you’ve probably already figured out, she should have won.  So, not a model in the strictest sense of the word, but she has been asked to be a Victoria’s Secret model.  Good enough.

Ana Hickman

Ana Hickman, just like Cintia Dicker, is a Brazilian native of German descent.  Maybe the next unknown models article should be about Germany?  One of the more popular models on this list, she has worked with Victoria’s Secret, Nivea, L’Oreal, Clairol and Bloomingdales.  She also made her way onto the Maxim Hot 100 list in 2004 and 2005.  Why she hasn’t been featured since then is beyond me.  Hickman was also featured in the South African version of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.  Man, South Africa gets all the breaks.  Just joking, victims of apartheid!

A Brazilian model who is part Japanese?  Talk about killing two fantasy birds with one stone!  Juliana Imai is so ungodly hot that she was discovered just, you know, walking down the street with her mother.  Juliana has worked with damn near every big name in the fashion business, including Dolce & Gabbana, Gucci, Gianfranco Ferré, Christian Dior, Giorgio Armani, Vivienne Westwood, Betsy Johnson, and of course, Jay-Z.

Fernanda Lima is a busy girl.  In addition to modeling, she is an established actress and television host in her native Brazil.  I would list some of her movies, but unless you are from Brazil you wouldn’t care about any of them.  She was in the Farrelly Brothers film Stuck On You also.  Again, no reason for you to care.

Stats/Important Wikipedia Page Fact: Her Wikipedia page is ridiculously sparse.  No stats or interesting information to be found anywhere.  She has her own website though.  I reckon there is solid info to be found there, but unfortunately, the site also includes background music that I do believe is Fernanda doing her very worst Shakira impression.  I’m not sticking around long enough to find anything under those circumstances.

Juliana Martins

Why Juliana Martins is not more well known is a mystery to me.  You see that picture up there, right?  What I can tell you for sure is that she has worked with Sports Illustrated and Marie Clare and is smoking hot as one single person could possibly be.

Fernanda Motta doesn’t have to be big in the States, she can be content with knowing that she is already huge in Brazil.  How huge?  She hosts Brazil’s Next Top Model y’all!  She’s like the Tyra Banks of Brazil, except presumably far less annoying.  In addition to her hosting gig, she has appeared in SI’s Swimsuit Edition four time, most recently in 2007.

Have you ever heard someone who happens to be blessed with some sort of talent asked the question “so, how long have you been doing this?”.  Of course, and the answer is always the same, “all of my life!”.  But really, can that possibly be true?  Nobody comes out of the womb with a Les Paul slung over their shoulder wailing on power chords.  But if you were to ask Daniella Sarahyba how long she has been modeling, she could say all her life without even a hint of exaggeration.  Why?  Because her first modeling gig was at the ripe old age of three days, appearing with her mother on the cover of a Brazilian parenting magazine.  She was born for this.  You may recognize her from having appeared in every SI Swimsuit Edition since 2005.

Another in the long, storied line of Brazilian models to grace the pages of Victoria’s Secret, Ana Claudia began modeling at the age of 14 after a friend introduced her to the owner of the awesomely named Mega Agency.  In addition to Victoria’s Secret, she has worked with Calvin Klein and Brazilian company Le Lis Blanc.  Expect to see a lot more of her in the coming years.
