Editor’s Note– The Geneva Motor Show is in full swing, so over the next few days we’ll be covering the best of the event here on StyleCrave. Stay tuned!
While Dacia is normally a prime player in the low cost sector, they’ve made some moves to be taken more seriously as a quality brand. That let the brand to get a little bold– and release the first concept car in the company’s history. Meant as a design study, the Dacia Duster is a versatile crossover that mixes an athletic stance with a futuristic design. A departure from Dacia’s norm, Duster is definitely an eye catcher with its all-glass roof, rear-hinged back doors and ridiculously large 21-inch wheels. Powered by a 1.5L dCi diesel engine from Renault that outputs 105 hp and 177 lb-ft of torque, it goes naught to 62 mph in 9.6 seconds and has a 44.4 mpg fuel efficiency (5.3 litres per 100km). Those numbers are certain to please the green-conscious more so than the performance-minded. Let’s hope thist “robot” makes it to production lines with an affordable price, because we’re loving where Dacia is going with this one. [via Autoblog]
