Casa Tolo, Hugging the Scenery

Creation of Portuguese architect Alvaro Leite Siza, Casa Tolo is an utterly amazing vacation home located on a sharply inclined hill in Lugar das Carvalhinhas, Portugal. Designed with a functional cascading form that brings back a distant culture, the concrete sloping structure blends perfectly with the difficult natural environment. All connected through a gradually widening set of irregular steps that lead to the flat rooftop, each elevation of the house looks like a special compartment, a special room. With contemporary interior design, amazing sights of the nearby mountains and everything put at maximum utility, the $150,000 budget doesn’t seem like much. Is it? [via CasaTolo]
