car1 Record Bids Expected For Rare Ferrari

Whether you appreciate curves, courtesy of famed auto designer Carrozzeria Scaglietti, or the impressive series of race wins it snagged from 1958 to 1961, the Ferrari 250 TR is a thing of beauty. As an ultra high-end collectors gem, the rare sale appearance of a 1957 model with period-correct paint is expected to fetch record bids in May, at RM Auction’s Ferrari sale to be held in Maranello, Italy. In a press release, the auction house said the Ferrari’s ticket could exceed the $21.7 million ponied up for the 250 GTO last year. [via autoblog]
