Tesla Roadster Sport, Faster and More Expensive

With more than 1,100 people waiting in line for a Roadster, Tesla decided it’s time to release a more powerful sports version of the much wanted electric two-seater. Dubbed Tesla Roadster Sport, it promises better handling, a unique paint job with carbon accents, a set of ultra high performance tires and 15-percent more peak power than the base model thanks to a hand-wound stator that increases winding density and helps eliminate resistance. Deliveries are expected to kick off starting from June and prices start from $128,500 in the US. [via Jalopnik]
