Though the financial crisis is still on, BMW has gone official with the all-new 2010 BMW Z4 Roadster. Sexy from every angle, the all-muscle roadster is the first one to pack a retractable hard-top, unlike the soft-top versions of the Z series we’ve seen before. The Z4 comes in three versions, from a 2.5-litre I6 engine that pumps 204 hp, a 3-litre that outputs 258 hp and the amazing 3.0-litre twin-turbo version that sports 306hp — which goes from zero to 62mph in just 5.2 seconds.  The new BMW Z4 features upscale BWM technologies like the Adaptive M Suspension system, which allows it to raise or lower the ride height by 10mm, or the Drive Dynamic Control function for an improved driving experience. Expected to debut at the Detroit Auto Show next month, it sounds like a great candidate for a fun weekend roadster. Too bad it’s not ready in time for our Christmas gift… [via WCF]
