Designed by Johnston Architects and located in the town of Mazama, Washington, this beautiful cabin is shaped to blend with the mining area in which it is built. The structure is constructed in such a way that the shades and the tones allow it to be a part of its surroundings and a simple extension of the land around it. The glowing bright orange hue gives the building a wonderful feel and a vibrant appearance. The interiors are largely clad in wood and the tone of the lovely cabin is maintained throughout with warm, simple furnishings.  While its tough to truly call this a “cabin”, we’re pleased to see such effort put into this design… [via Contemporist]
