Despite the heavy hit the auto industry has taken, Volvo has moved forward with its efforts to create cars that are eco-friendly. They are currently working on an all-new micro-hybrid model dubbed ReCharge, which is slated for release in 2011 in two versions – a complete hybrid (both diesel and gasoline) and a plug-in electric.  The Swedish green vehicle will sport both a manual and an automatic transmission, a regenerative braking system and start-stop technology to increase its fuel-efficiency.
