The Luc Merx Fall of the Damned Lamp
By Mike Payne
Designer Luc Merx must have awoken from one hell of a nightmare before creating this lamp. The Fall of the Damned lamp pictures a terrible fall from grace of the lives of men. While this is far too creepy to sit a few feet above our dining room table, we can’t help but respect the artist’s vision when creating this. Like Dante’s Inferno and so many works of religious-inspired artists, Luc Merx’s Fall of the Damned Lamp is provocative of some rather deep-rooted archetypal emotions. We can say this with certainty– such a response has never been inspired by a mere lamp before… Kudos, Mr. Merx. [gnr8]

there is no way in this world that I’m going to put that thing in my house unless I’m building a haunted house
