StyleCrave’s ultimate winter sports giveaway continues… Today, our pals from Rome SDS are giving away a pair of Rome SDS Marshall Boots– a lightweight, comfortable and technically advanced snowboard boot. The Marshall Boot features a weight-minimizing outsole, a multi-density heel pocket, a molded foot bed, in-out lacing and a range of customizable settings to fit your foot. When you’re on a snowy incline all day long, you need a comfortable pair of boots that is light on weight and tough on the exterior. We’re giving one StyleCrave reader a shot at learning why these Marshall boots fit that need like a glove… (er, boot). Continue reading after the break to learn how you can win a pair of your very own.
How to Win the Rome SDS Marshall Boots
To qualify for the free pair of snowboard boots, you must sign up and comment. Here’s how:
- Sign up for the StyleCrave email newsletter. (you can do so here, unless you’ve already signed up for a past giveaway)
- Comment on this page, tell us about your favorite place to snowboard, a good snowboarding experience, a funny story or otherwise.
It’s that simple. We’ll select one at random at the end of the week. Please note that this giveaway is only available to U.S. readers 18 years of age or older. Best of luck StyleCravers, and thanks to Rome SDS for joining StyleCrave in this great giveaway. This contest will end on Friday, December 5th, 2008 at 11:59p.m. Winners will be contacted the following week. Best of luck!

mammoth mountain and the tahoe resorts are the best places to go snowboarding in california, but being in socal big bear does fine on a pow day!
Monday, December 1, 2008 11:01PM
I need these boots because I heard having high quality gear automatically makes you the best at something.
Tuesday, December 2, 2008 5:16AM
US readers only, not fair!
How about if I win them you post them to my mates house in Colorado and I pick them up before heading out to the mountains in January?

Beaver Creek is my absolute favorite, it is a snowboarders dream. It neighbors Vail, but is much more friendly for snowboarders– including two parks and a huge halfpipe. Best of all is it has perfect powder that is much less tracked then Vail, Keystone and Breckenridge.

I live in Lake Tahoe, really enjoyed Alpine last season and have gotten an amazing deal on a college student Squaw Valley pass for this coming season and the board I have right now is barely making the cut (hand-me-down from my cousin and the bindings are horrid). Some nice new boots could save me the money of buying my own so I could get bindings that buckled properly!
Tuesday, December 2, 2008 7:24PM
wow, those are some crazy boots.
Tuesday, December 2, 2008 7:30PM
I love taking a trip every year to Colorado (Breckenridge or Keystone) or else I go to Crystal, Snoqualmie or Steven’s Pass in Washington when I have to go visit the in-laws.
Tuesday, December 2, 2008 10:46PM
Well, I don’t really have the money to go to really nice snowboarding slopes (or for nice gear, cough cough) but everyone remembers the first time we took Nik out snowboarding… got about four feet down the bunny slope and started going head over heels for the rest of it. We couldn’t stop laughing about it for weeks.

We visit Angel Fire a couple of times each winter and these boots would be wonderful for those trips. Although we only get snow in our area a couple of times per year, it seems these boots would be great for this area as well.

MY NEPHEW N EEDS A NEW PAIR.
Saturday, December 6, 2008 9:34AM
My son would love these new boots for Christmas. I hope you pick me because I think all I could get him this year is a couple of day passes. This would really top that off. He loves to snow board but I just don’t have the money for him to do it right and his boots he has now were discounted returns that I was able to get for cheap and they are not really the best for him. I think he would wipe out less if he had better equipment.
Saturday, December 6, 2008 9:45AM

Saturday, December 6, 2008 3:45PM
On my first trip out snowboarding with some friends, I thought I would show off my new skills. I felt the need for speed and well let just say, I landed 50 ft down the hill flat on my face in the snow. I have never lived that down to this day.
Saturday, December 6, 2008 3:55PM

I had a great time last Saturday skiing at Wild Mountain here in MN. I went with my 19 year old son and 27 year old daughter who both strapped on their boards. At the end of the day the kids both wanted to go home as they were sore and this 48 year old gal was ready to keep rocking the hills, lol. They ain’t making youngin’s like they used to.
My 19 year old son Ben could sure use a new pair of boots. These are great!
Saturday, December 6, 2008 7:55PM
My son would love these!
Saturday, December 6, 2008 9:43PM
Seeing Veronica’s post up above makes me realize I’m not the only female here (Style Crave is GREAT!). Again, these boots would be cool for snowboarding at Alpine Valley – and it might be a bit much to ask people for “funny” snowboarding stories (e.g. what? big white rabbits appear in the snow? Snowflakes the size of mountains entertain us?).
Saturday, December 6, 2008 10:37PM
It wasn’t funny to me when I got stuck on a snowlift for 3 hours.
Saturday, December 6, 2008 11:48PM

Thursday, January 22, 2009 4:56PM
The best place to learn in Tahoe is Donner Ski Ranch, super cheap, nice relaxed atmosphere. Who needs to send $80 a day to fall in the snow all day and you cna spend $30 and have just as much fun.

Monday, March 16, 2009 6:12PM
augh! these boots are sick! ive been trying to get them for weeks, and you guys are giving them away for free! thats awesome, I go snowboarding in CO every year, breck, keystone, winterpark, and copper are all tight, breck has a great atmosphere if you just want to chill around town after dark, or you can hop on a bus to keystone which is really close and go night boarding! you just have to watch out for skiers who decide to stop and pull out their cameras right in the middle of the freakin slope! luckily I was able to teach him a lesson by sending him 20 feet down the mountain, away from his skis! hah! anyway, people are pretty nice around there too, met a guy who shared some good ol kb on the gondola ride up.. then my friend tries to tell me to stop mumbling, but he turned into a snowman so what does he know.
