The Scarab Concept: Transport Futurism

Speeding right out of Tron-style archetypes and into the concept vehicle world is the mighty Scarab personal transport.  The Scarab is a four-wheeled, single-passenger road bullet that leans and twists like a motorcycle but provides the safety of an enclosed cabin.  Designer David Miguel Moreira Gonçalves has dreamed up the Scarab, giving it more than just an exo-skeleton but a suggested feature-set as well.  Gonçalves suggests that the Scarab will run on a biofuel internal combustion engine or stricly on batteries, taking advantage of regenerative breaking and other technologies to maximize efficiency.  Sign us up if it ever hits production, we’d love to tear up the mean streets with this bad boy… [david goncalves via yankodesign]
