As the polar icecaps melt, as the oceans engulf the land, the United States Pentagon has predicted a post-apocalyptic world strikingly similar to that of 1979’s distopian Mad Max.  When the times get tough, you’re going to need a road warrior of your own, so say the people of Conquest Vehicles.  Today, Conquest revealed the Knight XV, which upon production will be the world’s largest SUV.  It is fully armored from grill to gas tank, the latter of which is fully biofuel capable.  While we can’t say its pretty, one thing is for certain– the Knight XV will eat Hummer’s for breakfast, and pass them by mid-afternoon…

The Knight XV is inspired by the Gurkha military vehicle, just larger and more luxurious.  The Knight is powered by a 6.8L V10 engine which produces 400 hungry horses of power.  Its built to run on biofuels, everything from cellulosic ethanol to algae biofuel to corn-based E85.  Should the US oil supply get cut off in a future skirmish, you can still fill up the Knight’s tank so you can get the hell out of dodge while in hot pursuit of road gangs, police and even zombies.  Only 100 will be made, each one built by hand and priced out around $300,000.  [knight]
