TokyoFlash Tibida

LED’s are all the rage nowadays– and this binary beastie is no different. Telling time using 42 LEDs that light up like a screwed up scoreboard, wearers can set the upper and lower displays to tell time three different ways. The dots can either display numerals or represent time’s progression in minutes. No matter how you choose to have the time told to you, you can always get out of a boring conversation by pointing out your bad ass watch and stating it’s time to go. [$148.35 at tokyoflash]

Interesting concept that might appeal to those who really really want something different.
However, this may be to geeks only. To the rest of us we look forward to a timepiece that will give us the time data we want on a fast glance and not something we have to spend precious moments to figure out.
Imagine racing through traffic to catch that flight and you have to sort your way through this watch face to determine if you need to hurry even more.
No thanks.

I actually really like this watch. It’s not that hard to figure out how to tell the time in most of the modes… only the binary mode really takes a lot of work. Too bad it’s sold out in red!
