You are just right if you have figured out where the Matra UV electric concept car has taken off from because its distinctive ovular shape gives it away. Based on the North Dakota original Matra electric car, the facelifted version is now being promoted in Europe as well. Featuring a bigger electric motor and lithium batteries that help it sport 10hp (7kw) more and keep it running for some 150km – much more than what the lead-acid models provided, it tops at 60km/h (37mph) – 12mph higher than the speed allowed in America.
Other than those it also has solar panels on the roof that give it an extra 5 km boost and two Matra Sport electric bicycles that are neatly folded and kept in the rear of the car, in case something “wicked” happens. [via EVWorld]
