Funded by the National University of Singapore and designed by T R Hamzah & Yeang, the Editt Tower is an eco-friendly 26 story high-rise building that will please just about every environmentalist out there.

The Editt features an array of photovoltaic panels, a natural ventilation system and a bio-gas generation plant all neatly compacted into an insulated verdant outer wall made of local organic vegetation.  Additionally the floors and walls can be removed and changed accordingly allowing the building to collect rain water into a grey water system that will be reprocess for plants, bathrooms etc. The building itself will be built using both recycled and recyclable materials. This is a really interesting concept who’s time seems to have come. What is most disconcerting, however, is; Does it have to look ugly? Why not apply some aesthetics to the arrangement? Tasteful design sense combined with conservation sense does not have to look strange.
