You can add another name to the list of automakers that is getting serious about electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids.  Chrysler recently announced the Dodge EV, an all-electric auto with some serious performance details.  With the equivalent of a 270hp engine, the Dodge EV can hit 60mph from a dead stop in just five seconds. That quick, 200kw motor charges overnight with a range between 150 and 200 miles.  We’re not quite sold on the design, quite yet, nor are we certain we’ll see this one on the road.  Still a concept, we patiently await details on whether this one will truly hit the road en masse.  [chrysler via inhabitat]
